Recruitment Info
Dear all unaffiliated women,
The National Panhellenic Conference OWU Chapter welcomes you to Ohio Wesleyan! Every student has the opportunity to join the Greek community. For new students, that chance first surfaces in the spring semester. We invite you to spend the fall semester getting to know the members of our outstanding Greek community. For a detailed list of events, please visit our Calendar of Events .
Becoming a member of the Greek community imparts benefits beyond the typical college experience. Greek women excel in both scholarship and character. Furthermore, service and philanthropy are a central part of the Greek experience. The philanthropies of OWU sororities include St. Jude Children's Cancer Research, Service for Sight, Speech and Hearing Impaired, Reading is FUNdamental, and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
As a member of a Greek organization, a student can gain valuable leadership experience. Furthermore, each chapter has a national organization that aids members in networking, and the Greek alumni experience. Greeks also know how to enjoy themselves, from sisterhood to social events. Ultimately, the goal of the Greek system is to shape well-rounded individuals. We sincerely hope that you will consider joining us!
Informal recruitment is open to all unaffiliated sophomore, junior, and senior women. Bids may be handed out beginning Monday, September 17, 2007.
Formal recruitment, which is open to all unaffiliated women, is Thursday, January 17 through Sunday, January 20, 2008. Bid night is Monday, January 21, 2008.
Be More, Be Greek!
Sincerely,
Alison Gary & Claire Knight
